What is the value of a college education? College education doesn’t ensure a job right out of college, but learning and gaining general knowledge will only push your path to success in a forward direction. People might consider, does four years in college make you more equipped to deal with work situations rather then a person who spent time working in that field? Students complain about the expenses, but if you decide to go to school you choose a major that appeals to you and you discover a career you enjoy, and the payoff will be much larger than without an education. A college education will prepare someone mentally, psychically, and economically for the work force.

Getting a college education, and going to college lets students get out there and learn with each other and work with each other. Being in college helps you build a social network, meeting other people who are studying the same major allows students to think and build ideas together ,because two brains are better then one. Being in college makes you develop reasoning skills that later on make life decisions. Being in college isn’t easy, but you learn a whole new sense of independence and realness of the world. Being in college helps you explore your likes and dislikes before entering the work force. Being happy or doing something your good at is important in a job, and getting a college education gives you time to better know your capabilities and strengths. Being a college student gives you a push to maturing, and builds self confidence which, are both crucial steps to becoming an adult and figuring out your future. You will not regret going to school and learning, but some people regret not going to school because they missed out on chances.

Learning and engaging in everything is a skill everyone should have, so like he said we should go to college to be able to do that. Additionally, education shows people to develop more intellectual skill and become more responsible (Pew Social and Demographic Trends). Thus said, being educated and smart is something everyone can do and college helps with that. Likewise, college can encourage someone to be more educated and happier. Reaching the point of happier and more educated is worth the cost.
