In this scenario, I must decide between changed my current job, or remain in my current position which will help me continue to further my education. This document is intended to present a combination of all significant aspects related to the solving of this issue by using the six-step problem-solving method. Thinking is about making decisions and solving problems. 2 Those times when you are facing a tough decision or solving a complicated issue, demand careful thinking.” (webtexts.com)

Also, it would provide me with more time to research the new company and the area/city I would be moving too, doing proper research on the cost of living differences, crime rate, housing ECT. Additionally, it would give me sufficient time to estimate my finances to ensure that I am making a well-informed decision and the correct one in the future. Because even though there is a 15,000 dollar pay increase, I must still be realistic about the decision I am making. Mainly what if it does not work out as expected? Alternatively, if the new company is not as stable as my current one? Consulting with the new business’s recruiter would be extremely signification to ensure the long-term plans of the company and the position match up with what we expect them to do in the future. The new job is providing a difference in salary of $15,000, which may be an unreasonable target for my current employer to match. It is at this point where I will weigh the benefits of having tuition assistance. If an organization is offering this great package, more people will leave their current position to join this organization so they can continue their

The 7 Levels of Change provides a different way of thinking to enhance behaviors and processes. The author demonstrates throughout the book a seven process of change that builds upon the next. He believes that by thinking differently, being creative and stepping out of the norm is the catalyst to solutions and results beyond one’s expectations. Although the author uses the analogy of a new work environment to expound on the level of changes, the fundamentals can be used in both your personal and professional life.

This week’s reading consisted of ways to apply critical thinking to real life issues either in an individual’s employment environment or home life environment. The twelve steps of creative problem solving are a derivative of the critical thinking process that allows individuals to seek solutions to problems in a positive manner (Bethel University, 2013). The first thing that should be aligned before beginning to start the creative process is the individual’s attitude. The individual seeks a positive outcome of their current situation, therefore, the individual should begin with an attitude that is positive, relaxed, and open to suggestions. This is a critical aspect of obtaining the desired outcome from the creative process that is used.
In this assignment the practitioner is going to plan and prepare two experiences in which they will implement and evaluate after each of the lesson. These two experiences will be based on current theory, it will be in a form of an appendix to illustrate the two experiences as well as to promote children’s and young people’s thinking skills, creativity and problem solving. Many researchers such as Wilson (2000 cited in Macleod-Brudenell and Kay, 2008, p.323) have suggested that thinking skills are ways in which a child or young person is looking at the problem. To which we use thinking as a way of processing what we as individual know as well as remembering and perceiving. As for the skills this is the way in which we act by collecting and sorting information to help make decisions and reflect after wards (Macleod-Brudenell and Kay, 2008, p.323). This will include the practitioner to use effective approaches as well as evaluate tools, resources which can help to stimulate children and young people learning as well as supporting children development. The term for creativity has been define as being the use of imagination or original ideas to create something; inventiveness (Oxford Dictionary 2013). The definition of the term problem solving has been described as the process of finding solutions to difficult or complex issues (Oxford Dictionary 2013).
The business dictionary (2015) states that ‘problem solving is the process of working through details of a problem to reach a solution’. This is a skill taught at university and is beneficial because it will allow an employee to use their invocative when it comes to solving problems, it also shows employers that their staff can work in high pressured situations. Bingham and Drew (2010) says that ‘sometimes a problem or an issue may not have one key aspect, but several’ which therefore means that people may have to work as a team to solve the problem, team work and problem solving are both skills learnt at university as students complete group work. There is further support that problem solving is a key skill from totaljobs (2015) who say, ‘problem solving is a vital skill in daily life and employers are keen on it’ as it shows how efficient an employee is and how they react when faced with a problem. Having this skill allows product developers to improve on what has happened, for example if they have caused the problem then they can suggest ways in which it can be

Apart from those skills stated above, CFA projects thought me another important skill which is problem solving. Because of different projects that I worked on, I am good in problem solving. For example, when I was working on a goal called “Capstone”, I was able to develop my problem solving skill. When I was working on this goal, I was required to find a communication related problem that is in my workplace. Based on my observation, I find out that at Kepler there is language barrier problem. Through a problem solving strategy called Design Thinking, I was able to find a best solution to this problem. In fact, design thinking consistent of five steps one should follow while solving a community or workplace related problem.
challenge. The difficulty lies in finding and gathering superior knowledge and then getting employees, managers and departments to use the knowledge. How then is an organization to transfer knowledge to the many individuals who need it to optimize their productivity?
Even the best laid out plans may sometimes fail to produce the desired outcome. The first pitfall of planning is it hinders the need for change. The first conception when planning is the belief that it would work especially...
There are several attributes that one must have when it comes to problem solving or approaching problems. For instance: Manner, Neutrality, and Relativism to name a few. However I am going to identify the top three I think is most important attributes to have when going approaching any problem of situation. We will start off with Open-mindedness. The concept of Open mindedness is allowing oneself to accept evidence and different arguments into account of forming or revising ones beliefs and values. (http://www.criticalthinking.org/pages/open-minded-inquiry/579) A person who is open-minded will be willing to accept other sides to a problem even if it may not be in the best interest of them. For instance; I don’t like the idea of being around a group of people or a crowed place, however I have an open-mind about doing things that involves crowds because I don’t want to let that hinder me from enjoying life and having fun. Being open-minded does not mean you have to always agree with something or someone. More so giving the benefit of the doubt and giving other relevant information a chance. By not being open-minded you can risk making wrong judgment calls due a bias or assumption you may have. It is all about being fair and equal.
Right now, there is a low supply of workers leading to a shortage which means that instead of trying to hire full-time workers Ashok should try to look to different strategies in order to account for the shortage. He could do so by making opening positions for part-time workers, employ contract workers, outsource work and essentially try to reduce that gap. Ashok should have been prepared for this shortage by forecasting the firm’s demand for future employees. By looking at the market share growth of 8% in 2009 to 30% in 2015 Ashok should have predicted the need for more workers and arranged accordingly. This is a major problem because, with a high demand and low supply, it causes an influx of unqualified
We 're defined by the size of problems we go up against, so to do well in the business environment, each of us must constantly develop our problem-solving ability. We must build our problem-solving muscles the same way someone works out in the gym. The way to get stronger is to push against heavier weights, and the way to get better at solving problems is to solve more and bigger problems.
