In today’s time there are people from all walks of the world coming together and living as one.
For us as a Country of freedom that is amazing, as long as we are accustomed to everyone’s way of life. Today we have people from as far as Iceland coming to live in our amazing home, also people from India, and China, and so on. Unfortunately though, in the medical world of it all we tend to hit a road block. Certain religions, and beliefs come into play when it comes to healing the human body. Beliefs and religions that have been practiced and taught for as long as medicine has been around, and to some people that way of life is the only form of medicine they accept. Every Hindu believes that every thought, word, and action accumulates karma, which can affect current and future lives. Some Hindu patients may not be forthcoming when a health care provider ask them for a pain level due to their beliefs in pain and suffering as part of the consequences to karma. Most if not all may choose to dress modestly and be reluctant to be examined by healthcare providers of the opposite sex. When it comes to determining what type of illness that the patient has, Hindu’s go by 3 components. Biological, Psychological, and
Spiritual. If a treatment plan for Hindu’s do not address all 3 of the components, then Hindu’s may not be consider the treatment for anything else to be effective. Other systems of medicine, such as Ayurveda and other traditional systems in Hindu culture, have been devised for the good of humanity. It showed religious beliefs because all of this started with the parents forcing their daughter to stop furthering her education and get married. In many ways this whole situation of S’s “sickness” could have been avoided if the belief of

So many people in that religion based lifestyle are so trapped in their ways that they forget that the world is evolving and many of the traditions they used to practice and fulfil are not as easy to come by in today’s world. Kids today don’t understand why they have to be forced to marry someone whom they do not know or have anything in common with. Parents can be so strict in their ways and tell them souley because it is the way things are done and have been done for generations and years and it is respectful to their lifestyles. Talking and communicating is the key to any foundation of having a good relationship with someone in the family.
