The Parable of the Wicked Tenants and enhances Godly characteristics. This parable explains what happens when one is denied over and over again. There is story to this parable, Sin is something that everyone does, but why does one choose to do it over and over again. A man created the vineyard and once it was established he sent people into his tenants so that he could obtain some of the fruit from the vineyard. The vineyard is the Kingdom of God, the landowner is God, the Tenants are Jewish religious leaders, the servants are prophets, and the son is Jesus Christ. It is a way of life that is hard to avoid. Especially in today’s generation, for example in the parable it says that, “And he sent yet a third” (Luke 20:12). As I said before, the man sent his son and the tenants thought by killing him they would receive inheritance. This is the actions of the devil taking place in the tenants because God would never prohibit these types of actions. No matter what you should always be last when it comes to making decisions, God is always first. To send a third into the vineyard and to get denied again shows a lack of respect. To repeatedly do the same thing over and over again is a form of idolatry because you think that your decisions are greater than God’s decisions. God sent his son for a reason and that reason was for all to be delivered from sin. Between a one of god's greatest servants, Job. Before god's treacherous test, Job lives a great life full of blessings. “There was once a man in the land of Uz whose name was Job. That man was blameless and upright, one who feared God and turned away from evil. There were born to him seven sons and three daughters. He had seven thousand sheep, three thousand camels, five hundred yoke of oxen, five hundred donkeys, and very many servants; so that this man was the greatest of all people of the east” (Job 1: 1-4). “That man was blameless and upright” shows that Job did not harm before being tested, that he was just a simple living human being. “He had seven thousand sheep, three thousand camels… and very many servants” shows all the blessing that god has given him. We see Job as a great servant to god through the many rewards that he has acquired like his livestock and his sons and daughters. This will soon be challenged by good and evil, God and Satan. Many may argue that children need to grow with their parents; however, the removal of children is necessary if the parents disregard the kid’s needs and cannot provide a stable life for their children.
Christina Rossetti’s “Goblin Market” and Anne Bronte’s The Tenant of Wildfell Hall serves to demonstrates the importance of self-effacement and self-sacrifice in Victorian England. The two main protagonist in both texts, Lizzie and Helen, self-efface themselves to be virtuous and to be a proper woman in victorian society. Lizzie effaces herself in “Goblin Market” to remain a pure woman and Helen efface herself to be the proper mother and wife to her small family. Through this self-effacement the women have become virtuous enough to attempt to sacrifice themselves to redeem their loved ones. The only issue to this self-sacrifice is it can cause much unhappiness if the fallen cannot be redeemed due to being unwilling to repent for one’s sins.

The Parable is simple and straightforward. It foreshadows the death of K. Although that is not all it does. The character of the doorkeeper is the interesting one. He is made up of all the characters that K has interacted with, thatt have to do with his case. The doorkeeper is a blend of the warders, the Inspector, the washer-woman, the distrist judge, the lawyer and the two men who kill him. The story is an easy giveaway. It tells K what has happened in the past, and what will happen to him next. The story and its content itself are not really that important, one knows how the plot of the novel will turn out, almost from the outset. The importance lies in the discussion K has with the priest. The story was a simple, and poetic, way to summarize the entire novel. The main part of the story worth viewing and discussing are the multiple character of the doorkeeper. The first character of the doorkeeper that one sees is the warders. When the man goes to the place of law, he encounters the doorkeeper. The doorkeeper does not allow him to go inside. This reminds one of how K was treated, by the warders, when he tried to discover his charge. The act of refusing entry into the house of law, can be considered to the incarceration that K was put under. Although, it appeared that the greater part in impeding entry into the house of law, can be compared to the judges.
