h she is a spy and he is pretty much saying that not everyone is who they seem to be at first and that she is different. Everyone is different in some way,shape or form, everybody chooses who they are and what they will do.

On page “127” Ponyboy says,”you know the only thing keeping Darry from being a Soc is us.” Pony thinks that Darry is a Soc but they are keeping him from being a Soc, but he is wrong because Darry wants to be a greaser and not a soc because the Soc's beat up not only his family but also his friends. “Cherry saw the same things in Dallas (as Bob).” On page “129.”Cherry saw the good things in Dallas just like she saw them in Bob, like the way he made people follow him in a good way though, it's not other people who make you be the best it's yourself who makes you be good in some way. In the book ,on page “2”, Ponyboy says “ My second oldest brother Sodapop, who is 16 going on 17, never cracks a book at all and my oldest brother, Darrel who we all call Darry, works too long and too hard to even crack one open. Ponyboy is saying that soda don’t like books and Darry don’t have time for them because he is doing other things because they are different and not the same.
