She saw many things that most people couldn't even imagine of. The stories Faustina tells us still amazes me till this day. Faustina was born on August 25, 1905. She was the third child out of ten in her family. She was very poor and lived with her siblings. She was baptised and her name was actually used as Helena. This was very weird to me on how she lived but in the end she obeyed god and whatever he told her to do. Such as, experiencing Hell, Heaven, and purgatory. She saw the suffering souls in purgatory and Hell. Heaven wasnt very spoken of as descriptive as the others. This really confuses me because experiencing something like that is probably the most chilling and nervous thing that will happen. The weird part is how Faustina experience some of these visions when she was seven. I don't understand that but she did it. Learning from Faustina is how i learned that there is a hell, purgatory, and heaven. I learned that people like us on earth have an important meaning to these souls in heaven. By praying for the souls in purgatory we help more of them make it to heaven. The souls in Purgatory said “We long for God.” They felt the abandoning of God, which is probably the worst feeling ever. As crazy Faustina’s life was we can relate to. You heard me, we can relate to any saints life because in the end they are believing in God. In the end, we will all come together and praise God. She lived her whole life doing what God asked her to do. She set an example for all of us on what can we do for the souls in purgatory right now. We think we are useless to them because we are alive and they are dead but she proved to us that it is completely wrong. We are all one body and no different from one another. A saint is a virtuous person that is honored by church after death who is considered to a degree of holiness and is blessed. In most Christian denominations think all people are saints in the Catholic Church the term saint is given to a person whom which the church has officially been canonized. Furthermore, the Catholic Church explains that they do not create or make a saint; however, they recognize saints. In fact, Frances Xavier Cabrini or as many people refer to her as Mother Cabrini is the first person to be canonized as a saint by the Catholic Church.
Descending from the first to the second level of Hell, Dante witnesses the transition to greater agony and greater punishment for the damned. Overwhelmed by the sinner’s harrowing cries and the extensive list of seemingly innocent souls given to him by Virgil, Dante beckons for two lovers to approach him, desperate for some sense of comfort. The souls are known to be the historical figures Francesca de Rimini and her lover Paolo, forever trapped in the circle of lust due to their sinful adultery. Through her words spoken to Dante, Francesca shows how she feels she has been unjustly punished and is deserving of others’ sorrow, and Dante, despite his awareness that she is a sinner, pities her. A close reading of this passage is necessary to better understand Dante’s internal battle with showing compassion where it is not deserved and Francesca’s incessant denial of her sins.

Contrary to common belief, saints are not perfect. Saints simply seek Christ more than anyone else. Saints understood the need for Christ in their own lives through their own experiences. St. Teresa of Avila did not live a perfect life, although she strived to after her conversion. St. Teresa, after living in the world, realized her desperate need for a personal relationship with God, but by no means was she perfect.

In the Inferno we follow the journey of Dante as he wanders off the path of moral truth and into Hell. The Virgin Mary and Santa Lucia ask Beatrice, Dante’s deceased love, to send some help. Thus, Virgil comes to the rescue and essentially guides Dante through Hell and back to the mortal world from which he came. However, things begin to seem kind of odd. When reading the Inferno one may begin to question the way Dante describes Hell and the things that occur within, or even the things we have always believed about Hell. Despite the way it is described and well known in western civilization, Hell is not at all how we expect it to be because of Dante's use of irony throughout this poetic masterpiece.
This book is informative and descriptive idea of hell and what it is going to be like when someone goes there. This book very clearly describes the different departments of torture in hell. In this book JESUS CHRIST took Mrs. Baxter through hell to tell the world that there is a place called hell. This book was written to save lives and save souls. JESUS told Mary “that this was her purpose in life; to write and tell what he has been shown and told to her. For these things are faithful and true. Her call is to let the world know there is a hell and that JESUS was sent buy god to save them from this torment.” This lady actually went through hell in dreams for forty days every night. There aren’t really any stories in the book of virtues that relates to this particular book. While reading the book of virtues make sure that you follow the good lessons and give your life to god. Without JESUS CHRIST in your life your soul will go through eternal torment. The smell that comes from hell is one that your flesh can not bear. Hell has pits where you can walk through and see the pain of those whom are there forever. There are different departments of hell.

Her coming of age story in "Faust" from and innocent girl to a world ravaged woman and ultimately to her salvation from society and evil her character holds power not usually seen in pre-modern literature. To give her the full power of the novel would be to re-write the story with a female Faustian character as the heroine like Louisa May Alcott did in 1877 entitled "A Modern Mephistopheles".This novel can easily be seen as a feminist work, showing the power of the overlooked woman. As Gretchen's life is drastically altered by a mysteriously androgynous devil figure, the strength Margaret shows in the end after he has broken all of her own moral codes and unknowingly served the devil shows her to be a great feminine character and a step forward for the literature of the period.
In conclusion, we can see that Dante presents the reader with a potentially life-altering chance to participate in his journey through Hell. Not only are we allowed to follow Dante's own soul-searching journey, we ourselves are pressed to examine the state of our own souls in relation to the souls in Inferno. It is not just a story to entertain us; it is a display of human decision and the perpetual impact of those decisions.

Saint Catherine of Siena is the saint that I have chosen to be my saint. She was very interesting to me, and her story was very intriguing. She is the patron saint of fire prevention, bodily ills, sick people, miscarriages, nurses, and illness. She was canonized in 1461 by Pope Pius II. Her feast day is now celebrated on April 29.
St. Cecilia was believed to be born in 2nd century Rome. She was an only child in a wealthy Roman family, was well-educated, and had been a devout Christian from early in her childhood. Cecilia had vowed her virginity to God, but she was promised in marriage to a pagan man named Valerian. She wore sackcloth, fasted, and prayed to the saints and angels hoping to keep her promise to God. On their wedding night, Cecilia informed Valerian that an angel guarded her body and that Valerian must not disrespect her vow of virginity. Her prayers were answered, and Valerian was willing to take her as his wife without forcing her to break her vow. Her husband wanted to see the angel that guarded her, but Cecilia told him that he would need to be baptized in order to do so. Valerian went to be baptized by Pope Urban, and returned to Cecilia as a Christian. When he returned, he saw Cecilia praying in her bedroom. Next to her was an angel with flaming wings, and he was holding two crowns of rose and lilies. He crowned both and them, and then vanished.
In Faust, the intelligent gentleman Faust, seeks spiritual wholeness in knowledge. Through years of hard study, Faust becomes knowledgeable in math, sciences and religion and yet he becomes inept and incapable of having any romantic or physical relationships with the outside world. As Faust strives to become the "over man" through knowledge, he realizes that books will not satisfy his curiosity and that maybe sensual pleasures will. Therefore, in the process of creating his new life, Faust, becomes distant and unconcerned with all reality and humanity around him.
In this essay the critical approach on (Mythological and Archetypal Approach) played a big role in forming my opinion of the signet classic book, "Doctor Faustus" It is to my knowledge that mythology does not meet our current standards of factual reality, but unlike the 16th century which this play was presented, men like Faustus saw myth as fundamental and a dramatic representation of the deepest instinctual life in the universe.
I can go as far as saying that Faustus lusts to be God, similarly to Lucifer, considering everything he has asked for. Lucifer was envious of God before he fell from grace, and with Faustus emulating Lucifer so closely, he also matches this unnecessary envy through his actions. He is too charmed with being a God in which he says “A sound magician is a mighty God.” The fact that Faustus wants to be an equal with God has him in complete denial of God 's power. But just as how Lucifer was damned for the same desires, Faustus was destined to follow the same fate.
