Vocation, when hearing this word you might think of a special calling, or even perhaps religion, but everyone and anyone has a vocation. They just need to find it. It is this journey of finding your vocation that many of us find hard, but it is an important journey to make. How else will we find what will make us happy in life or what we can do to make the world a better place? One way to uncover your hidden vocation is by taking quizzes and tests that focus on what motivates or what your strengths are you like MCORE or Strengths. Through these tests and quizzes we can begin to get a glimpse of our inner calling called vocation. MCORE, also known as motivational core, is a test that finds and ranks what motivates you. This is crucial in discovering your vocation, because your vocation is something that should energize you and keep you motivated. According to MCORE, I am driven by the motivations Excel, Evoke Recognition, and Meet the Challenge. Being motivated by Excel means that I try to exceed at everything or do my very best. I love competition and to test my limits. Evoke recognition ties into Excel by saying that I like when people acknowledge my accomplishments that I work so hard for. Even so, there are many activities that can help us get closer to discovering our calling. I have learned through the tests I have taken that I work well with people and that My major is not out of the running and could very well be my vocation in life. Much of my qualities line up with the qualities it takes to be a great teacher and the things that motivate me are present in a teachers life. However, there are still things I would need to work on to better myself for that job. All in all, discovering your vocation may be difficult, but in the end it sets you up for a happier more fulfilling
