Time management is the control of an individuals actions for the purpose of improving efficiency. It involves setting goals and requires, establishing priorities, planning and scheduling steps needed to obtain these goals. The concept of time can be very hard to understand. It is a force that waits for no one. Individuals that do not know the importance of time end up wasting it or spend it doing nothing, especially people with mental health or substance abuse disorders.

I do however think that follow up classes would be important. Individuals that are not in a rehabilitation facility may not continue with classes and revert back to their old ways . I also feel that time management is an important tool for everyone, not just people with mental illness. People cannot manage time. What they can do is manage their activity during time. Being able to follow a schedule and go to work every morning provides purpose and meaning in a persons life.
