It has been a long road to get to where I am today and even though I have many times it has made me who I am. Having a plan to accomplish a goal or goals is a good way to start achieving success. It will not be easy but I plan to stick with my plan until I accomplish it and never give up. From the research I have done and the information provided to me by my instructor and the staff at Fresno Pacific University I have learned many things. There will be many tests that need to be taken and there is also material that will help before I take the tests. Being prepared for the unknown is good for anyone to do to accomplish the goal that is desired. There are many issues in education that affect students today and that need to be fixed. Some of the issues that stood out to me the most were equity, poverty, parent engagement, character traits, and the common core. I will be talking about my three-year plan, how I plan to accomplish it and five issues in education.
Three-Year Plan In the first eighteen months of my three-year plan I will be finishing up four general education classes that I need before I begin my cohort. There is also a test called RICA that is a writing test that needs to be completed before you get your credentials that I will need to take. Those are the major test that I will need to get my credentials and I know there are other requirements needed that I will be working on to get my credentials and become a special education teacher. I am very excited for the road ahead of me even though it sounds like a lot I will take it one step at a time and completing short-term goals to finally accomplish my long-term goal.
