Thinking about a nice warm and comforting vacation to Florida this winter? Unfortunately, that’s not going to happen, at least not anytime soon. Recently, the East Coast, all the way from Florida to Maine, was “bombed” by a cyclone. This crazy storm has made a tremendous effect on the people of the east coast. Whether it’s airports shutting down, homeless people facing the piercing cold, or the wildlife dealing with unusual and brutal weather. It was just new years and people all over America are traveling to get back home. Disastrously, the winter storm has affected various airports by delaying and even canceling them. Not only are airports losing money, but also people not being able to find a way home. Travel has now become a struggle in major cities such as Washington D.C., Baltimore, and Philadelphia. Several Cities were aware of the rapidly building storm and were able to prepare for it. But nothing can totally prepare you for what happened that bitter cold winter day. …show more content…

As many people know, there are countless homeless people around larger cities, and they have nowhere to hide from this terrifying storm. Many groups such as “The Red Cross”, have been helping many homeless people get away from the storm by taking them into shelters and getting them warm clothes. This shows that the winter storm was more than a surprise to everyone because homeless people aren’t used to freezing weather.
