In my opinion, artificial intelligence can be best described as the ability for computers and other systems to be able to complete tasks that humans do on a daily basis. In short, basically remove the human aspect of a certain task or operation, and replace it with a computer programed machine to fulfill the task. I believe that this is the end goal of the development of artificial intelligence. To be able to have machines do the tedious work that humans have to do every day. A very popular artificial intelligence project that is being developed today is the use of self-driving cars. I think the idea of self-driving cars fascinates many people. To be able to get inside your vehicle and you input your destination and it takes you there. The company Tesla has recently become a very major player in the autonomous vehicles department with their cars that can drive themselves with some human interaction. As I mentioned before, we all have AI assistance in our phones and computers to help us answer simple questions, but we don’t have anything at the commercial level that changes our lives dramatically yet. As soon as we break through with fully autonomous vehicles that everyone can afford, I think that will be the day that AI will begin to change everyone’s lives. I also think that AI will begin to make the word a safer place as we begin to build more machines that can complete the dangerous jobs that we humans have to do. So, AI in that context can be seen as a way that impacts us in a positive way. In summary, I think that artificial intelligence can be best described as the ability for computers to be able to perform tasks that humans have to do on a daily basis. I think we will always be trying to improve AI algorithms until developers are able to completely create a machine that is conscious of itself and its
