The author of The Crucible, Arthur Miller was an American playwright born in 1915. He grows up to a Jewish family. In University of Michigan he graduated in 1938 where he begins to decide to himself as a playwright. He wrote The Crucible in 1953. It was during the McCarthy period. It is when the Americans were blaming each other of Pro-Communist way of life and beliefs. Many of Author Miller’s friends were being harassed and attacked as communists. It is all about a town, after allegation by of some girls which started on a foolish hunt for witches that did not exist. Many people of the town were hanged up on accusations of witchcraft. The author, Arthur Miller brings out the irrationality of the incident itself with the topic of reality, truth, facts and morality. In The Crucible the entire event flows naturally from one event to the next. The entire scene happens naturally, the flows are natural with the character and the scene itself. The fact that the story is not false as note for Miller’s life it happened in reality. It is based on a true story is motivating and appealing.
