We cannot imagine a world without technology. Technology has been connecting us to others, and it is pretty amazing what our mobile devices that we use every day can connect us and become effaced. We can use technology to improve our relationships with one another and can spend some quality times with each other, rather than conversing face to face. Technology has been improving from the past to present, in its: shapes, speed, collection etc. Technology plays and became a significant thing in our life. We reached the point where we cannot live without a mobile devices access with Wi-Fi or data. Hertlein, director of the university’s Marriage and Family Therapy program, and assistant professor Markie L.C. Blumer, a faculty adviser in the program wrote, “The Couple and Family Technology Framework: Intimate Relationships in a Digital Age". In their article, Hertlein and Blumer explore how the revolution of technology plays a significant role in promoting relationship. They state,” This revolution poses significant implications in the promotion of relationships at a distance between couple and family practitioners and their clients” (2). They convey that technology position itself in promoting good connections with those are in relationships. Hertlein and Bulmer advocate,” It is much easier to date from one’s own computer than to dress up and go out to seek a possible or potential partner” (3). They defining technology as “convenience” because it can cause miracles in relationships. Just like Hertlein and Bulmer, Luo and Tuney have researched and came up with a positive conclusion online conversing embrace and enhance relationships. They observed college student, how the college students communicate with each other. Luo and Tunney’s collaborated result was “sending a positive text to the partner everyday had a significant positive effect on relationship satisfaction” (49). This result that they found through their observation on college student supported their hypothesis, which was do texting helps romantic relationships.
