E- Learning is a very useful tool when it come to train all kinds of individuals but there are some disadvantages to it as well. There are many issues when it come to E- learning, The most common issue is that E-Learning is dependent on technology. This is an issue because what if the traineer doesn 't have the ability to access the learning tool For example internet, more and more E-learning programs require the internet at some time. Well what happens when the trainer doesnt have access to the internet or the internet fails? Technology advances are great but they are not a 100% reliable all the time. Another disadvantage to E-Learning is that it 's not always a reliable training programs. Meaning that if the job required skills to handle face to face interaction with others, how do you teach that through an online program? There is a limitation on what skills you can teach through E-Learning, some skills need to be taught through experience. E- Learning is programed to teach to different learning styles. This is problem because not everyone learns the same way. The reason for an increase in the training programs for older workers i could be due to this is the generation of the baby boomers and people are waiting longer to to go into in retirement. This is causing the need for training programs that are for the older age work force and also the newer age work force. With this wide range of age of workers will mean training programs are going to need to adapt to all kinds of learning and teaching new information. I think depending on the job the training should change. You can not give someone the job because of their age, but at the same time is that person going to be able to perform the task need with a bit of training.
