Based on the quote above, it has come to an understanding that technology may develop into a new medium. Jenkins (2006) argues, “digital revolution presumed that the outcome of technological change was more or less inevitable.” This implies that technology will continue to be more advance and it is unavoidable. Television has become a basic necessity for homes in a society that depends on television for entertainment in the nineteenth century. Television also provides varieties of entertainment to people of all ages such as news, television drama, educational programs and many more. Besides, television is one of the resources for advertising and it is still going till today. In the field of technology in the past such as electricity and radio there were different experiments done by many people that lead to the development of basic technologies which the ideas that created a foundation of the invention of television. The device was not invented by one person but it was many people working together over the years which contributed to the evolution of television as stated by Bellis.
