In cases of attitude teenagers have the idea that they are above others, that they know everything and that they are all going in the right direction. They care less about others and keep themselves as their main priority. They act as if no one can touch them, they believe themselves to be invincible and on the top of the world. Even when there are cases that show this is not true it does not change the minds of teens, and if it does it only affects a few. They act or pretend that they are more intelligent than others, as if they have the whole world figured out, than when they find themselves in trouble they do not see where they went wrong.
As attitudes are deteriorating so is the amount of respect teens are showing not only others but themselves. This lack of respect is getting them in trouble left and right; from parents, teachers and law enforcement. Along with the trouble teens are getting in for their lack of respect they are also losing trust from others and the respect that others have once given to them. As they receive little trust and respect from others they begin to ac even more out of place and search for more, they begin to become more outrageous and act out more.
As teenagers revolt against parents, teachers, law enforcement and others there are different ways for acting out and they differ from person to person and from gender to gender. As girls and boys are different anyways they both have their own ways of rebelling more centered on gender. Females may rebel by the way they act, although there are clear dress codes for schools there are may girls willing to push the limits of these codes and wear clothes inappropriate for school. If the media showed more normal sized girls and boys in shows and magazines than teens would stop harming their bodies in hope to gain an unrealistic and unhealthy bodies. If media would begin show teenagers as respectful and an age group to be respected and trusted than maybe teenagers would change their ideas as well.
Teenagers have it easy now-a-days, and there is little attempt to make getting anywhere hard on them, they practically have everything handed to them and once they begin to take it all for advantage they begin to slowly make mistakes. These mistakes are what eventually cause problems in their futures. Parents, schools and communities should work together to show teenagers a more real version of life so they understand that it isn’t all fun and games.
As a teenager we are all looking to be accepted by our peers and will do whatever it is they want us to so we can be accepted. That is to say the feeling of needing to be accepted by ones peers is done consciously; the person starts to do what their friends do without thinking about it. (Teen 3) In fact, teens are more likely to be affected by peer pressure because they are trying to figure out who they are. (How 1) Therefore, they see themselves as how their peers would view them so they change to fit their peer’s expectations. (How 1) Secondly, the feeling of needing to rebel and be someone that isn’t who their parents are trying to make them be affects them. (Teen 2) Thus, parents are relied on less and teens are more likely to go to their peers about their problems and what choices to make. (How 1) Also, their brains are not fully matured and teens are less likely to think through their choices thoroughly before doing it. (Teen 6) Lastly, how a child is treated by his peers can affect how they treat others; this can lead them into bullying others who are different. (Teen 3) Consequently this can affect a teen into doing something good or bad; it depends who you surround yourself with.
Most teenagers always wants to be in the popular group at school or anywhere possible. They will do anything to achieve the goal. Weather it be hanging with the wrong crowd and ditching their true friends. They don't realize of all the people they are hurting because teenagers only think about what they want at that given point. Teens will do anything they're told by other people to fit in and that's not the best way to be.

Today, our world is filled with food. While some are healthy, it seems like teenagers are more focused on the unhealthy foods. Yes, there are athletic programs; teens are still not eating the right foods they should be. They get the simple, easy to depend on, low cost foods which most likely are from fast food restaurants. Teenagers often pick the easy choice, which is why the obesity rate is rising in our state, including heart attacks and diabetes. Even though it seems like the unhealthy choices are more dependent when you’re in a rush and need a quick bite to eat, not caring about the nutrition, teenagers don’t realize that it will affect them in the long run, literally.
Have you ever met someone who acted just as teens are stereotyped? Not many people have because they do not exist. Real teens are poorly portrayed in the media and are the complete opposite of their stereotypes. Books and TV shows make teens out to be wild or crazy, irresponsible and out of control. One hardly ever hears about teen-heroes. Instead, newspapers and magazines are plastered with stories of teens and crime. And while looking at commercial billboards and other related media, the regular teen seems to be sex-crazed and image-obsessed.
First I’m going to talk about how this lie affects relationships between adults and teenagers. Here’s the problem; adults don’t expect enough out of teenagers today. When I was doing research for this speech, I came across the website parentingteens.com. This website popped up first on Google, so it must by good. Right? WRONG! I went to the “setting up expectations” section by author, Denise Witmer. The list of expectations is pathetic! For pre and young teens, the expectations are making your bed everyday, being able to take a phone message, and cleaning your room once a week with help from Mom and Dad. Despite parental efforts to control children, teenage rebellion proves as an unavoidable staple in individuals' maturation. For some, this rebellion proves brief; for others it results in devastation. Regardless, this necessary and natural process often includes defiance of societal expectation in addition to domestic contradiction. Society's typical rejection of teenage rebellion destroys innocence, disturbs peace, and often inhibits social progress.
All in all, there are many theories floating around us on why teenagers become “mass destructions of themselves”. Not to mention, through research we can see that children are a product of their environment however, if people would stop being arrogant and show kindness to others the word “outcast” would no longer exist and physiological issues would begin to affect children in a more positive way. All in all, I believe all teenagers can avoid becoming delinquent’s if they become more involved with the communities, kill the wretched with kindness, and most importantly had a more balanced meal throughout their days.

Once hormones have revealed themselves, children turn into confused young adults that think they can do everything by themselves and that there will no longer be any need for nurturing from adults. The word “young” from “young adults” is what teenagers completely ignore, when actually they should do the opposite and ignore the “adults” part. Furthermore, this causes infliction between teenagers and adults, especially their parents. Once they have the courage to say “no” with consciousness to what they are ordered to do, they come across a feeling, a feeling of being big and powerful. Because of that, teenagers then only focus on their new discovery of rebelling against adults and are, metaphorically speaking, injected with ego.

Actually, when you are faced with a situation that you know is wrong you don't think about what your parents will think until you have already completed it and there is no turning back.
