Teen suicide is a tragedy that affects everyone.'' Suicide is the third leading cause of young people age 15 to 24''. The rate of kids who committed suicide age 10 to 14 is 0.9 out of 100,000 teens. It is a permanent solution for temporary problems, many people think those who commit suicide are thoughtless and selfish, but the real truth is that they aren't selfish, their silent cries for help just went unnoticed. Teens commit suicide for several different reasons. Legal medicine that alters your thought process and causes suicidal thoughts. Some specific examples of the medication is antidepressant, atomoxetine, and singular medication. Antidepressant sometimes causes depression and strong suicidal thoughts. The fact that rapes are not often reported, leaves victims to deal with pain and memories of the crime alone. This often leads to drug use, alcoholism, and sometimes suicide if they do not seek for help. Bullying has been an issue for many years. With the progression of technology, teens have been able to take basic bullying to another level. Cyber bullying is when someone bullys another person through the internet. Most of the times they would just kill themselves so they can get out of the problem. When you bully somebody and pick on them they will eventually get tired of it and suicide them selves. Laws of bullying in the united states have changed. '' As of October 2010, 45 states had bullying laws, while there were no such laws in the districit of Columbia, Hawaii, Michican, Montana, North Dakota, and, South Dakota.New York is one of the most recent to past a bullying legislation''. New Jersey passed a law called anti-bullying legislation in 2002. This law provides training of public school staff in addressing bullying, intimidation, and harassment, as well as in suicide prevention. As time progress more action is being taken against bullying. Counseling is being provided in school anti-bullying laws are being developed . Support groups are being formed, and public awareness is being used to combat bullying. With all of these efforts hopefully we will se a decrease in suicide and in respect and peace.
