Tattooing is a process in which needles are used to prick the skin to inject small amounts of ink or other type of pigmentation into the under layers of the skin, creating a permanent design. This practice has been around for thousands of years and has been used by many different cultures for a multitude of purposes. Cave paintings depicting human figures with tattoos dating back nearly 8,000 years have been discovered in various places. People from all around the world, from Indonesia to Japan to Africa, all tattooed for different reasons.Some cultures used tattoos and still do to label cattle, brand slaves or prisoners, confer magical powers, cure illnesses, declare religious or romantic devotion, and to express opinions or creativity. She does a lot of portraits and lettering as well. She will occasionally do a color piece, but not very often. Chris Nuñez was born in Miami Beach on April 11, 1973. His parents were Cuban and French, but passed away when he was still pretty young. When he was 16, he got his first tattoos, which were his parents’ names. As a teenager, he was a graffiti artist, but he switched to tattooing as he grew more mature. When he was 21, he went on a trip to Brazil which was only supposed to last a week, but he ended up staying for five years. After living in Brazil, he travelled Europe and worked with tattoo artists along the way. Nuñez appeared on Miami Ink on TLC for a season and has been a judge on Ink Master on Spike TV ever since it premiered in 2012. The show is a competition that features tattoo artists who participate in challenges to assess their tattooing and artistic abilities. Nuñez does a lot of his tattoos freestyle. This is when a tattooist does not use a pre-drawn stencil transfer. This type of tattooing is brave as it leaves a large margin for error. His style is mostly Japanese with bright, vivid colors. However, he occasionally does a black and grey tattoo or outlines. Nuñez also does lettering, some old school, and some realistic
