There has been lawsuits against several fast food companies because they sell oversized meals. Americans consume a large amount of food due to the fact that they have a massive amount of appetite. What fast food restaurants like Taco Bell do is they make amazingly great deals so that they get customers to buy their food. What Taco Bell does is their prices are extremely low and believe it or not, it increases the amount of customers they have. Other fast food restaraunts heard about what Taco Bell was doing, so they started doing the same thing. Fast food restaurants other than Taco Bell, also started coming up with bigger sizes of their foods and their drinks with a lower and affordable price. All fast food restaurants do is find ways to get
The article is talking about how Taco bell is inventing something that was supposedly existing. But taco bell had different ways of selling their quesalupas to people, their target market is usually the younger crowd looking for cheap good tasting food. So of course the people are going to go to taco bell, and try everything new that they come out with. Taco bell was striving to be different from other fast food places and brain wash teens into thinking their fast food, food, is better than all of the other fast food places. The article says that they are trying to copy REAL Mexican food, and taco bell is brainwashing people into thinking they are coming out with all of this “NEW” Mexican food. When in reality it is all just copied from old
In January 2011, a class action lawsuit was filed against Taco Bell, alleging the restaurant chain used more meat fillers than real ground beef. Specifically, the suit claimed Taco Bell’s products were made with “taco meat filling,” which consisted of extenders and other non-meat substances. The complaint further pointed out that Taco Bell not only misled consumers but also violated federal requirements by labeling “taco meat filling” as beef. This incident was unexpected as Taco Bell was not informed before the lawsuit was publicized. In addition, the “beef fiasco” made national headlines and could seriously tarnish the Taco Bell brand.
Fast foods have been around for a long time. Each day, more a more people turn to it for a quick meal, whether it is breakfast, lunch or dinner. As fast foods begin to progress and expand throughout the world, people, especially in the United States, have started to blame fast foods for their obesity and/or health problems. But is it really the fast food companies ' fault or the customers who consume their food? David Zinczenko wrote “Don’t Blame the Eater”, which states that fast food companies should be held responsible for giving all these people unhealthy food with them not really knowing what they are eating. I absolutely agree with this article, because these companies drag customers in by making the food fast, cheap, and a mystery. Fast food restaurants should be held accountable for
Taco Bell is a United States based fast food restaurant specializing in Mexican food. The company is owned by the Yum! Brand company. Their main audiences are young adults or kids looking for a cheap meal or families looking for a quick, easy to pick up dinner.
What is happening to our economy is that so many people are going to these fast food restaurants because they are basically on just about every corner. So, for adults that makes it easy if they didn’t have anything planned for dinner because they can just pick something up from the local fast food restaurant on their way home from work. Also, it is very cheap. For example, a bundle at McDonald’s can feed up to four people at one time and it only costs about fifteen dollars! So, in the long run, it is just easier to go pick up some fast food rather than wasting your time cooking an actual meal. Lastly, even though fast food is very cheap and on every corner, it is not healthy at all. Studies have proven that a person that ate McDonald’s for his meals for a full month ended up having some serious health changes. In conclusion, even though it is very easy to access and very cheap, fast food has some serious health issues and be very harmful.
At times, the fast food restaurants give super size portions at low cost because of the competition. As a result, customers simply eat more.

Is fast food to blame for more obese Americans? Fast food restaurants advertise all their ingredients in plain sight. They provide healthy options to their more popular foods such as grilled items, skinless options, low calorie/no calorie beverages, and small portion orders. Most obese Americans are overweight because they are uneducated about the dangers of fast food. Once they learn about eating healthy, managing overweight issues becomes more elementary. Fast food restaurants should not be blamed for America 's obesity issue because there are healthier options, self-discipline, and self responsibility for each individual.
So how can the companies let this happen? We the people are doing it to our selfs not the fast food. George William Domhoff a research professor in psychology and sociology says that as we the consumer have the power over the company “food system” with what we buy. So all and all, we the consumer cant blame the fast food restaurant for our health problems, we decided to go and eat the unhealthy food. But if thats all you can afford you have no choice, the only choice you do have is what you want from the menu.
Over the past century, the food industry has vastly changed. It is difficult to ever imagine that food was processed in a different way than it is now. In 1921, the first White Castle opened and then McDonald’s opened in 1940. With the introduction of those types of restaurants, similar competitors such as Burger King and Taco Bell opened. Fast food was a whole new term that Americans were not familiar with. Back then, the demand and popularity of fast food was not what it is today. These companies that we are so familiar with today were not always the large corporations we now know them to be.
Some people question society today about whether fast food restaurants being the reason for individuals becoming obese and some question are they really the blame.
