Technology is truly significant in human advancement. Advancements in technology have enabled humans to do things that were unimaginable, and has made many tasks easier than they were before. There is no doubt that we depend on technology too much since it has invaded almost every aspect of our life now, form how we communicate, learn, and even increased cyber bullying which cause by depending on technology and cooperating it in our daily lives.
To begin with, we don’t live in the moment since we are constantly worrying about capturing every moment. In addition, we are used to using our phones to record a band concert, recital, football, and the list goes on. The cons that come with communication changing is that technology is highly distracting (Wong). With computers, and cell phones we are constantly bombarded with notifications from social media, chats from online with friends, and even get messages. This distraction can sometimes be referenced to “time wasting” since it is reducing productivity and negating an increase in communication output that an advancement of technology that has provided (Source D). Nonetheless, technology such as text messages allow us to communicate in a carefully edited , short sentences that lack intimacy and completely remove circumstantial information that was provided by body language, and the tone of voice (Source D). Technology has made it easier for other kids to bully each other. For example, they can bash them online, posting pictures and having a horrible caption. In fact, the increase in cyber-bullying has also led to an increase in teen suicides (Hosale). No child should be put in a situation like that, it’s sorrowful that as technology advances so does cyberbullying. Taking over someone else’s life is unacceptable instead of bashing each other on social media help them out in a positive way. Since kids can now get involved in bullying since people are more likely to say things online rather than what they would say in person (Hosale ). In today’s society these bullies have a new form of weapon – the Internet. Having access to chat rooms bullies tend to inflict harm in ways no one has ever thought of. At the same time some cyber bullies tend to cross the line into criminal behavior or unlawful. Additionally, the webs anonymity has provided a on spot cover for users to harass or intimidate others without much repercussions. Long term, frequency, and serve cyber bullying can leave someone and bullies at a greater risk for depression, other stress-related disorders, and anxiety. Put yourself in those people shoes and realize if it is really worth possibly taking someone’s life over something that can be prevented. You have to be a cruel person to do such a thing that, don’t be one
