Growing up in rural mississippi, Anne’s family was very poor and surrounded by extreme racism. A few traumatic events near the beginning of the story seem to set a tone for the rest of the tale. In the first chapter, Anne’s house is burned to the ground. This is done by her cousin George, but Anne ends up with the blame. Anne is then punished for something that was not her fault. This is almost a recurring theme in the book, as Anne is continuously being punished or tormented throughout her life for having a darker skin color. Soon after this, Anne’s family is devastated when their father abandons them to run away with another woman. Anne’s mother, pregnant at the time, remains strong and finds a job in the city to support her children. Anne’s mother demonstrates determination and independence, and acts as a role model for Anne so that she too will not give up in the face of conflict and struggle.

I told you why Anne had felt this way during her ordeal, and what this reveals about her character and her views about life. The book is called, Lifetimes "Anne Frank", the book was written by Richard Tames. The book is about Anne Frank, it tells you how Anne Frank and her family went into hiding from a war for two years, and how they survived during the war. The book also tells you a little bit about Anne Franks accomplishments. While I was searching for a book to read, I saw the book, and I read some of the pages. Before I read the book, I didn’t know anything about Anne Frank, and I don’t regret reading the book, because Anne Frank's life is very interesting. I was interested on how she got famous, what mad her famous, and how she survived during the war.

Frank, Anne. The Diary of a Young Girl: The Definitive Edition. Comp. Otto Frank. Ed. Mirjam
Anne Frank was a 13-year-old Jewish girl who was thrown into one of the worst periods in the history of the world; the Holocaust. Though she went through awful things that many people will never experience, she always kept the faith that there was still some good in everyone. She once said, “Despite everything I still believe people are truly good at heart.” Her diary, which she kept while her family was in hiding from the Nazis, shows the triumph of her spirit over the evil in the world even through the pain of adolescence. The Franks and Van Dans were hiding and they suffered many hardships, mentally and physically. Many people in Anne’s situation would have become bitter and resentful, but Anne never would despair.
In "The Star" by Arthur C. Clark, a Jesuit astrophysicist is forced to question his faith. The findings are troubling, an entire civilization is destroyed by a supernova; the implosion of their sun. The calculations that he makes proves that explosion could have been seen from earth at the same time the Star of Bethlehem announced the birth of Jesus Christ. His crew looks at the situation with a more logical justification. They believe that the events in the universe happen with no plan or purpose. It doesn't matter if the civilizations that have been destroyed have done good or bad, those events are inevitable.
In Number the Stars the main character is Annemarie Johansen. She has to exhibit bravery from her trip to womanhood from girlhood. She also has to bond with adults throughout this story, and finally she must understand how she is affected by falseness and actuality.
The text I choose to discuss was the seminal work of Alfred Bester, The Stars My Destination, a book that went on to define science fiction and spawn the cyberpunk genre. The story follows the life of Gulliver Foyle, a generic worker with no ambitions, no friends, no semblance of a personality. After an attack destroys the ship he was working on, the NOMAD, Gully is forced to survive by living in an airtight locker the size of a coffin for six months. On the one hundredth and seventy first day, Gully sees the cargo ship VORGA fly close by and he sends out a distress beacon. The VORGA sees the beacon, yet decides to pass him by regardless.
The autobiography book, “The Diary of a Young Girl”, is a collection of Dutch diary entries authored by Anne Frank, a 13-year-old Jewish girl who lived through the atrocities of the Anti-Semitist German Nazi Regime. Beginning on June 14, 1942, the diary, which Anne named “Kitty”, vividly depicts fear-filled stories of the Franks and other Jews in evading racial annihilation. Besides the stories of war, the world-renown personal account narrates a teenage girl’s blossoming and her search for identity, love, and acceptance. The entries end abruptly on August 1, 1944, signifying the Gestapo’s capture of the Frank family and all the other residents of the Secret Annexe, but despite the impermanence of Anne’s life, her legacy endures
On June 12, 1929, at 7:30 AM, a baby girl was born in Frankfort, Germany. No one realized that this infant, who was Jewish, was destined to become one of the worlds most famous victims of World War II. Her name was Anne Frank. Anne Frank: The Diary of a Young Girl, by Anne Frank and B.M. Mooyaart, was actually the real diary of Anne Frank. Anne was a girl who lived with her family during the time while the Nazis took power over Germany. Because they were Jewish, Otto, Edith, Margot, and Anne Frank immigrated to Holland in 1933. Hitler invaded Holland on May 10, 1940, a month before Anne?s eleventh birthday. In July 1942, Anne's family went into hiding in the Prinsengracht building. Anne and her family called it the 'Secret Annex'. Life there was not easy at all. They had to wake up at 6:45 every morning. Nobody could go outside, nor turn on lights at night. Anne mostly spent her time reading books, writing stories, and of course, making daily entries in her diary. She only kept her diary while hiding from the Nazis. This diary told the story of the excitement and horror in this young girl's life during the Holocaust. Anne Frank: The Diary of a Young Girl reveals the life of a young innocent girl who is forced into hiding from the Nazis because of her religion, Judaism. This book is very informing and enlightening. It introduces a time period of discrimination, unfair judgment, and power-crazed individuals, and with this, it shows the effect on the defenseless.
