In meeting our organizational mission and values in the growing health care system our clinical success depends on coalescing with the intensified awareness of our patients’ needs, meeting demands for new technologies, training issues continue to drive the demand for innovation and space driven by the planning of moving to a new location for the long-term care facility. After careful planning and costing, however, it proved too expensive and financially impractical and unfeasible. During the previous weeks, we have painstakingly conducted the need analysis informed by research and evidence-based constructs. Additionally, we conducted values audit together with the needs analysis to ensure that our values complement our vision and expectations. We need a contingency plan, milestones, and who will do what when and by what timelines of accomplishment. We need to ensure that systemic change is highly incorporated into facility design, aligned with effective goals and objectives were clearly identified and related to activities with measurable outcomes. Another planning need is clarity of description of how organizational leaders will remain visible and demonstrate significant commitment, provide sustained support for the renovation project. Moreover, we needed clear explanation of how current knowledge of evidence-based design and effective practices and innovative strategies have been seriously incorporated in the project renovation design to enable improved technology, meet regulatory requirements and high training standards. Adequacy of resources for personnel was a goal of the planning effectiveness.
