Suicide terrorism has risen because it seems to have been proven to work. Hamas used it against Israel when Israel was too slow to remove troops from the West Bank and Gaza Strip. It was successful in getting Israel to speed up the process and thus deemed as a success by Hamas. Terrorist groups generally see results when using suicide bombings because it is used against civilians. A nation’s first job is to protect its’ citizens.
