You are alone at night, and all you have is a flashlight that doesn't work and a sleeping bag. Then you see a church and decide to go behind it to stay away from a person’s eyes. When you get there you put everything down and put new batteries in your flashlight. When you start doing this, you hear voices around you and start wondering if you are not alone. Looking everywhere you find nothing, then you come back where you were and your stuff has been moved. Then you start wondering around and you come upon a mental cover covered with grass. You open it up and you find stairs and your curiosity get the best of you. You head down the stairs and then you feel like something is pulling you down. You get down there and it feels like you have been down there for weeks and when you come back up, you do not remember anything that just happened. Well the history of Stull, Kansas is very eerie and will lure about everyone that wants to experience the feeling. Stull, Kansas became a town in the mid-1800s. It was founded by the people of German and Pennsylvania Dutch ancestry. By 1857, there were only six families living there. That same year settlers constructed a stone church on land donated by Jacob Hildenbrand; later dubbed the “Evangelical Emmanuel Church”. Stull was originally called Deer Creek, later when a post office was established the citizens change the name to Stull in remembrance of Sylvester Stull. Later in 1903, the post office was discontinued. During the 20th century, the settlement suffered two major tragedies. The first occurred when a young boy wandered into a field that his father was burning and died. The second occurred when a man was found hanging from a tree after going missing. Many people don't remember these tragedies, but now they know Stull for its strange unexplained activity that goes on
Woop woop! Is the common sound heard in Beecher Terrace (housing apartments). There are 2.3 million people locked up in the United States. Kentucky spends about fifteen billion dollars per year incarcerating individuals from Beecher Terrace. Since the 1970’s the number of people locked up in the United States has grown from 300,000 to 2.3 million. Kentucky has been the center of this prison expansion. Charles McDuffie, Christel, Demetria, and Keith Huff all have something in common. Each of these individuals are repeat offenders, grew up or lived in Beech Terrace, and have some type of mental issue.
The Little Rock Nine. I’m sure for some it rings a bell, but for others it might not. Everyone should know about the Little Rock Nine, because this was a major event in America’s history. This is an event that made America the free land it is today.
The Merriam Webster Dictionary defines jayhawk as, “a fictitious bird with a large beak used as an emblem in Kansas” (“Jayhawk”). Even though some people may say that the Jayhawk is not resemble a good role model, the jayhawk should be inducted into the mascot hall of fame because he makes an impact in the community, he has a fun and unique design, the jayhawk has an impact on his sport, and he performs memorably and groundbreaking performances.
Point Lookout is one of the places I found the most information on. Point Lookout is a mysterious atmosphere on the southern tip of Maryland. Point lookout has a lighthouse that was established and used for 135 years. It began as one of the first Maryland governor’s properties. The Little Rock Nine has been the most revolutionary Black Civil Rights movement in history because they were the first movement of its kind, the movement received national attention, and this event made African Americans more bold and want to fight for their rights.
Before that night, I didn’t believe in the paranormal. Now I sure as heck do. I had been chased out of my house after a fight with my step-parents because I wasn’t doing well in school (I had dyslexia), and I had taken shelter in what seemed like a normal house. I realized what I had gotten into after the sun set. The doors were locked without a sign of anyone going near them.
One night I was kitchen washing the dishes when all of the sudden my mother walked in and asked me if I have talked to my dad. I had replied that I hadn't heard from him in about a year. The next thing I know the words "Your Grandpa passed away yesterday morning, nobody knows were your dad is and they can't keep his body in the morgue past tomorrow." came from her mouth. I just stood there in shock, I couldn’t do anything. She told me to get ready and that we could drive up to my dads house in Ona. When we got there the windows were broken and covered up with some type of sheet and there was a piece of paper on his door that read "Go away. Just leave me alone...please.". We wrote a note and put it on the door and went home. That night I laid in my bed screaming inside my head and crying my eyes out for over a hour. In the morning I had a huge panic attack. I kept hearing ringing and buzzing noises and I could hardly breathe. It took me about thirty minutes to work up the nerve to come out of my bedroom. I ended up going
Council bluffs is amazing but you can always make something better, so here are the things I would do as mayor to make Council bluffs a better place. First I would build a park for kids to play and have fun and for dogs to get exercise, then I would make the Mall of the Bluffs a activity center so people can practice their sports and activities, and finally build more local businesses
I swung my arm aiming for my alarm clock but ended up knocking my nightstand over. " Dang it" I said unhappily as I put my feet on the floor protected by my fuzzy pink socks. I hand a fun and terrifying experience in my sleep a few days ago. I discovered me and my 5 friends could dream walk but only in abandoned places which is creepy because I really strongly dislike the dark and also I really hate spooky paranormal things. It gives me the spokes. I decided I should write in my journal about my dreams because I could feel and remember every little detail of those eerie places from the sound of the water rushing from the flooding to the crickets humming in the overgrown shrubbery.

Squatting on the ground, I was weeping. I couldn’t see anything, not even my hand although it was not far from me. I made my eyes widely open to make sure if my eyes went blind or not. When it was around 8pm, I started looking for the window. Touching my hands on the corners of the room, I finally found it. I used up all my energy opening the window, but it was covered with hard dust and it was rigid. I fell down, and cried a lot. I couldn’t sleep throughout the whole night, because I was hungry and thirsty. In addition to this, it was cold in the middle of that night. I was shivering and coughing persistently. Shivering in the blasting cold night, the words fear and death invaded my soul and lamentably waited for the deathblow. The darkness of the lemon orchard under the full moon hidden behind long, high parallels of cloud was accelerating my fear and advancing the idea of `suddenly disappearing` in my mind. I had never thought of death before. The rows of lemon tree standing like elite soldiers made me feel like an enemy soldier captured in war and was being taken to be executed by guillotine. A shotgun was targeted towards my head which made my eyes and legs become paralysed; thus I could not feel or sense anything. My eyes looking blindly and my legs walking briskly with the question” will I die” stuck on my mind like a tick attaches into skin.
It was just a normal day. I was living at home with only me, John, and my mom. My dad had died trying to protect the village from a wild animal from the forest. My mom wanted me to go to the market and get some food. So I did. As I made it to the market I could see all of the things being traded. I went to were the food was being traded and traded some stuff for some food. As returned home I noticed a couple of strange voices I didn’t notice. I walked into the house. It got dead silent. Then all last I heard were gunshots until everything went black.
With music blasting, voices singing and talking, it was another typical ride to school with my sister. Because of our belated departure, I went fast, too fast. We started down the first road to our destination. This road is about three miles long and filled with little hills. As we broke the top of one of the small, blind hills in the middle of the right lane was a dead deer. Without any thought, purely by instinct I pulled the wheel of the car to the left and back over to the right. No big deal but I was going fast. The car swerved back to the left, to the right, to the left. Each time I could feel the car scratching the earth with its side. My body jolted with the sporadic movements of the car. The car swerved to the right for the last time. With my eyes sealed tight, I could feel my body float off the seat of the car.
I looked up at the black sky. I hadn't intended to be out this late. The sun had set, and the empty road ahead had no streetlights. I knew I was in for a dark journey home. I had decided that by traveling through the forest would be the quickest way home. Minutes passed, yet it seemed like hours and days. The farther I traveled into the forest, the darker it seemed to get. I was very had to even take a breath due to the stifling air. The only sound familiar to me was the quickening beat of my own heart, which felt as though it was about to come through my chest. I began to whistled to take my mind off the eerie noises I was hearing. In this kind of darkness I was in, it was hard for me to believe that I could be seeing these long finger shaped shadows that stretched out to me. I had this gut feeling as though something was following me, but I assured myself that I was the only one in the forest. At least I had hoped that I was.
