Do students work harder if they get paid? Students getting money for good grades, is a good thing. Some people pay their kids for A’s, but a lot do not. When kids grow up they get money for doing a good job and maybe promotions. Parents work hard for money to pay for their kids. People don’t work their hardest for no money, so why would students try their hardest in school for no reward except praise. Praise isn’t enough anymore now days. Students right now will be the running the world in about 6 short years. Students should get paid for good grades because it’s how it gonna be when they older you work hard and get work done you get paid. “Cash-for-grades programs may jump-start students’ motivation by providing real-world rewards for their effort and performance “ (greatschool staff). Why not get them ready for the real world where you need to work hard to get money so you can have a roof over your head? “For example if your a really smart kid and you need money for college that's a way to save up”(debate). “You go to work because you need money. Very rarely because you enjoy it. Same at school”(debate). If students get a job before they graduate from high school will they even want to go to college? Will they focus less on school and more on the job. “Not to mention some truly smart children such as myself can't earn any money due to age restrictions”(debate).
