All over the world parents have to resort to desperate measures and pay their children for grades, but this is not such a good idea. Parents use pay as a way of motivation for their kids to get good grades. Although it might raise their grades, there are a multitude of bad effects. In the end, the final grade is not all that matters. Students should not get payed for good grades because school is the only required thing kids really have to do, they need to actually understand their work, and later in life they will expect more rewards.
First, Students don't deserve pay because payment will only teach them to respect the reward. For example. “Payment doesn't instill responsibility for learning or actually help a child gain knowledge.”(Hollman, 2). When a kid is getting paid, they won't have passion for the school and the work they are doing, they have passion for the reward therefore they won't take the time to actually understand the work.You can only go so far with rewarding, eventually …show more content…

Students are learning important things that can come in handy later on in life if anything the students should be paying their teachers. If it wasn't for the teachers than where would we be later in life. The teachers do so mutch for students teaching them so much that they have to learn why should they get payed to learn it. School is something all kids have to do. There is no reason to pay kids for doing required things. Plus school is like a gift without school how would you keep a sustained lifestyle.
