Godiwalla (2016) describes strategic vision in the same manner as as Satterlee (2013). Both Godiwalla (2016) and Satterlee (2013) describe strategic vision as the creation and implementation of the goals for an organization. Godiwalla (2016) further states that goals, long-term and short-term, along with business strategies should be created by an analysis of the vision and mission of the organization. Mayfield, Mayfield, & Sharbrough (2015, pg. 107) states, “effective strategic vision expresses shared organizational goals and values and conveys empathy to stakeholders.” Calder (2014, pg. 1) states, “institutional success is about upholding its values and realizing a vision and mission.” Furthermore, Calder (2014, pg. 2) states, “values govern the kind of strategic initiatives the institution is either now considering or possibly changing.” Empathy nor values were discussed by either Godiwalla (2016) and Satterlee …show more content…
