Performance Enhancing Drugs (PEDs) are becoming a huge talk in today's professional sports as its advantages and consequences are discussed across social media and sports organizations. There is nothing entertaining than sports competitions and athletes will do anything to win and to give the public unforgettable moments. Sometimes, they involve themselves in the use of PEDs acknowledging their risks but also the possible outcomes. It is said that over a million of athletes acknowledged having used illegal steroids in this country alone (Chaiet, 2013). If many people already use steroids why not make them legal and let people take them at their own risk? Remember that athletes ought to be able to select for themselves whether using PEDs or not. Some people agree with the fact that using PEDs in sports makes competition unfair and that it is dangerous for the athlete's health and therefore are against it (Becker, 2008). They are found in diverse types such as anabolic steroid, stimulants, diuretics, and Human Growth Hormone (HGH) and athletes also use strategies such as blood doping and rampant drugs to gain that extra strength to win the game (Cadwallader, 2015). Many athletes such as Li Zhesi (Chinese swimmer), Ben Johnson (Canadian sprinter) and Lance Armstrong (American cyclist) during this past years, tested positive to drug test that lead for all them to their disqualification to practice the sport for a period (William, 2013). Not surprisingly, there are records of the use of performance-enhancing drugs going as far back as ancient times during Olympics in Greece which has been alleged to have been contaminated with forms of doping (Chaiet, 2013).
