The forms of exploitation of human labor evolved from slavery, through servitude and craft corporations, arising from the employment relationship, especially with the advent of the Industrial Revolution. The slaves, who were legally considered the object of law, worked on the most arduous tasks, which were not considered dignified to the free citizen.
The slavery as can be described means the possession of one person by another. Indigenous and black people brought from Africa were the main victims of that period.
The explorers of the urban slaves take advantage of the fragility of these workers, distant from home and, in irregular situation, to pay negligible wages for long working days, offering subhuman conditions of residence and food.
