The statistics listed sixty-three thousand cases of melanoma diagnosed per year caused by potential ultraviolet radiation. The analysis indicated that nine thousand annual deaths were reported mainly from young adults and teenagers. FDA proposed that tighter regulations should be made towards indoor tanning, being a source of ultraviolet regulation, which could result in skin cancer. Basically, society should promote policies to prevent skin cancer and incorporate the simple action of using sunblock because ultraviolet rays are becoming worse each year. The dermatologists indicate that several sunscreen and sunblock measures can help prevent skin cancer by reducing ultraviolet rays. Additionally, the article incorporates the sun protection factor which is supposed to balance skin phenotype while being exposed to the sun. The research indicates that the need for a protective coating on the skin is essential because the facts have proven that the sunlight contributes to aging as well as to carcinogenesis by amplifying ultraviolet injury. Based on that, an adequate sun protection factor should be taken into consideration to prevent the damaging DNA repair processes. The analysis reflects the effects from sunscreen which may include burning, tanning, and chronic changes leading to cancer, elastosis, wrinkling, and pigmentary mottling.
