If you have ever heard about the great plains and the wars it took to capture these pains than you may have heard if Sitting Bull. Sitting Bull was a native american leader for the tribe the Sioux. He was very well known and even more when the black hills were discovered to have gold in them. He fought alongside many other native american war leaders against the americans trying to assimilate them.

Sitting bull was born in 1831 in modern day south dakota. His name was originally it was slow this was given to him because of his lack of warfare skills. He was given the name sitting bull after he killed his first buffalo. One of the most famous ones is the battle of little Bighorn. This was Clustered was last stand where he died on the battlefield. Many other native war leaders like Crazy Horse, Red Cloud and many other famous natives. These native americans were ambushed and fought against the odds won against the colonies and Clustered, also the help and knowledge of Sitting bull. Sitting bull was famous for many reasons one was that he was a great leader. He lead his people fearlessly he was never afraid of anything in life or death. He had many stories about his fearlessness one of my favorites was he sat out in an open field and let the enemy shoot at him and he sat there without flinching all he did was smoke his pipe. This just shows how fearless this man was he was a legend amongst his people.

Sitting Bull moves in to what is now canidia and lived there for many years after the war as he refused to live in a reservation he. He was brought back to america and was forced to pay for his crimes. He was arrested by a native american who worked for the colonies. Later he was killed by a indian police officer by gunshot
