The triumph a hero achieves in not only through their accomplishments, but also through their potential and ability to stay resilient through those difficult times we all experience. The book Beowulf has the protagonists Beowulf who is the depiction of an utterly invincible and ultimate hero, who i believe is similar to Superman from Dc comics who is also close to being an invincible hero but not completely indestructible. Beowulf and Superman are both symbolic heroes in their respective universes. They are very similar in the fact that they care about people and that they also use their superhuman strength to fight evil. They have differences as well and weaknesses too, but it's all part of being a hero. And they are both venerable symbols of their times. Some heroes have supernatural abilities for good and to protect the ordinary people who cannot protect themselves from other supernatural beings for example when beowulf uses his might strength to lift up a giants sword, and kill Grendel's hellish mother. In the Beowulf book Beowulf lifts up “ blade that booded, a sword in her armory, an ancient heirloom, from the days of the giants, an ideal weapon, one that any warrior would envy, but so huge and heavy of itself only beowulf could wield it in battle.” (Line 1557). This display of mighty strength shows how beowulf was able to use his power to kill a monster who would otherwise hurt other people. Superman also uses his supernatural strength for good. Superman used his Strength to destroy another person who was the same species as him ,but unlike him he used his supernatural powers for evil, to defeat him in the movie The man of steel. This is why Beowulf and Superman are also similar because they use their unimaginable strength for good which makes them
