the Crazed eagles fan also has a problem, he is one of the funny characters in this movie that I enjoy seeing. According to Robert Ebert, “He's harmlessly obsessed with the Eagles, gratefully in love with his wife and cluelessly supportive of his son, who he doesn't realize is an apple who has fallen very close to the tree.” Pat and his father are just alike even though they hate to admit it. Pat Sr. is out of work and he is depending on illegal book marking to earn money and open a family restaurant. Pat doesn’t agree with what his dad is doing, but he’s mainly worried about Nikki. Pat Sr. constantly tells Pat that he is a good luck charm but Pat doesn’t believe in all the superstitious beliefs like his dad. Pat Sr. has to have everything a certain way in order for the eagles to win each game. Pats father is banned from all eagles games for fighting too much, so he wants Pat to go to the eagle’s game for him, plus he believes it will help the eagles win. Everything starts off great, but Pat gets into a fight and misses out on practice with Tiffany. Pats father was furious because of Pats behavior and due to the fact that the eagles lost made it even worse. Pat Sr. lost all of his money and he blamed it on Pat, but it was really his fault. He made Pat attend the game, but if Pat would have been with Tiffany the eagles would have had a victory and pat wouldn’t have gotten into a brawl. Another bet is made the same day as the dance competition and if Tiffany and Pat score a 5 out of 10 the eagles will win. After the commotion Pat eventually realizes that Tiffany forged the letter from Nikki, but he doesn’t mention it until after the competition. After Tiffany and Pat perform they realize that they scored a 5 out 10, so everything worked out as planned. The eagles win, Pat Sr. wins the bet, and he is able to open his restaurant. Tiffany is beyond happy until she sees Pat talking to Nikki and she runs off. Pat Sr. let’s his son know that he loves him and that

In the movie, “On Golden Pond,” by Mark Rydell, all the significant characters were going through a crisis and they had to overcome the situation. These crisis were known as Erikson’s theory. Erikson’s theory was created largely on the belief that life is a continuous developmental process and that maturity is not the end of psychological growth. He believed that an individual have to resolve these crises in order to become healthy and able to get on the next crisis in the life cycle. However, some may be stuck in a stage and won’t be able to overcome the crisis.
After experiencing a traumatic car crash, Michelle, the protagonist of director Dan Trachtenberg’s film 10 Cloverfield Lane, wakes up in an underground bunker owned by a man named Howard. Howard claims to have saved her from a widespread chemical attack that has contaminated the air, with his bunker being the only place to take refuge for the next couple of years. Yet as the film progresses, Howard’s controlling and threatening demeanor eventually brings Michelle to escape, allowing her to come across the actuality of the situation outside the isolated bunker. Throughout the production, Trachtenberg arranges close frames, manipulates the camera’s focus, and chooses specific lighting to create an ominous tone that mystifies and disturbs viewers.
The Great Depression of the 1930’s caused widespread poverty, but the popular culture of the time did not reflect this. People wanted to escape from this harsh time so movies, dancing and sports became very popular. Radios broadcasted boxing matches and boxers became stars. The heavyweight champion James J. Braddock aka “Cinderella Man,” gained popularity. James Braddock gained fame by winning many fights and proving everyone wrong when they said he was too old and couldn’t win.
The research for this paper would be based on the film, “Silver Linings Playbook”, directed by the filmmaker, David Russell. This film intrigues the audience with its content and portrayal of mental illness. One of the key issues shown in this film is the status quo of social and economic disparity that exists among people. The characters of the film and their respective journeys in life are shown for the purpose of establishing this thematic content. A close scrutiny of the narrative and specific scenes in the film would enable one to analyze the expression of socio-economic disparity more closely. The mesh of inter-personal relationships that link with the socio-economic status is perfectly delved into in the course of the narrative. This film has been received well by the critics and the general audience, adding to the relevance of the scrutiny of the film’s content.
Throughout the deal, an unexpected bond begins. Faced with their own problems Pat Jr and Tiffany not only face problems with each other but with others, including Pat Jr’s father. The kid wanted an interview about having a mental disorder, but instead of graciously denying this request, Pat ran away and the camera filmed his back from a distance. This is the first occurrence where Pat was filmed running away, giving the audience insight into how his mental illness affects his daily life. In this scene, it is important to note that Pat was running alone with his back to the camera, facing away from his problems and fears. He continued to ignore his mental condition until he met a mysterious widow named Tiffany. Tiffany’s character helped Pat acknowledge his condition and made him confess that he hates his illness. Although their first few interactions led to Pat running away and Tiffany chasing after him, the visual motif of his character running away and the staging was still the same. Pat was filmed with his back to the camera and he was still not comfortable with “facing” his mental

There are different kinds of relationships that at a young age, we were taught that if we find love, we will reach of happy ending. I support Atwood’s point-of-view of love, and happiness categorize couples into unusual scenarios: they both fall in love and have a happy life; only one loves the other and they are unhappy or a love triangle. Consequently, death is the result of any scenario.
Obsessive compulsive disorder was also displayed in this film portrayed by Pat’s dad, Pat Sr. Pat Sr. showed a true obsession with football by relying his income on illegal bookmaking. There many behaviors Pat Sr. engages in for “good luck” such as having a handkerchief with him at all times, lining the remotes a certain way, and wearing a Philadelphia Eagels jersey. The book, The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins can be deciphered in many different ways. Emily Lem and Holly Hassle’s view on this story is how The Hunger Games defy the norm by breaking down gender-related barriers. They argue that, “Katniss capitalizes patriarchal values that privilege traditionally masculine qualities…” (Lem-Hassel 118). This perception is not entirely wrong, but it’s not the main theme of the book. Bill Clemente and Valerie Estelle Frankel argue that Panem is a political, cultural, and metaphorical parallel to our nation of America. Clemente states that The Hunger Games “reflect on the political dissatisfaction and economic hardship that inform contemporary society” (Clemente 20). Frankel joins
