Shooting into theaters, Kingsman the Golden Circle is one of the most funny and thrilling spy movies to this day. With its quirky lines and adrenaline pumping fight scenes this movie satisfies the need for a thrill. A marvelous sequel to Kingsman: The Secret Service this movie does not disappoint. Kingsman the Golden Circle is the mark of a great movie, taking on a real-life issue and creating something spectacular out of it
As to not waste any time Kingsman the Golden Circle opens with an intense fight that takes place in a cab with the main character, Eggsy (Taron Egerton), already close to losing his head. Eggsy fights against Charlie Hesketh who returns from the first movie with a brand new robotic arm. Eggsy eventually wins against Charlie, but Charlies robotic arm is left in the cab. The plot is about fighting against a drug lord who wants to stop the war on drugs, for her own benefit of course. The drug lord, Poppy, creates a life threatening strain of drugs meant to take over the world unless the President of the United States agrees to end the war on drugs. The president refuses and puts all of the world at risk because of his own vain nature. Although this movie is not here to shine light on the crisis of drugs, Poppy’s approach to the war on drugs is intriguing. The war on drugs is constantly talked about and is why many people are crowded into prisons. Poppy wants to be able to freely sell her narcotics, but ending the war may not make her as much money as selling it illegally might. Just as the Prohibition caused a surge in the consumption of alcohol, legalizing her narcotics may make them less popular to use. Again, this movie is not in many ways meant to make statements on the war on drugs, but it is compelling to see this drug lord take that approach to expand her drug
