Movie reviewers have seemingly grown in popularity and many look to those reviews to determine whether they are going to see that movie or not. Christy Lemire an AP writer, published on Huffington Post recently wrote a review for the sensational movie Silver Linings Playbook called, “Jennifer Lawrence Shines in New Comedy”. From focusing on the actors to the actual body of work, this review discusses all aspects of the film. This movie is witty and intriguing and unlike any other romantic comedy in this day an age. It follows the lives of two completely different, yet utterly compatible people named Tiffany and Pat. Lemire seems to really enjoy this movie and discusses the darker underlying tones that are completely overshadowed by the quirky and lighthearted comedic relief. She believes the film is unlike any other and that each actor, and even the director, is pushed to new extremes, which exceeds all expectations and with that kind of enthusiasm it would make anyone want to see Silver Linings Playbook. Christy Lemire has such a unique writing style and with her amazing credential’s for writing for the American Press, the reader can trust her opinion. She has such a distinctive and light hearted tone throughout her entire review and the reader can tell she has an honest adoration for Silver Linings Playbook. When she writes, her target audience is the people who would actually see this movie, the young adult, to the older woman or gentleman, who could probably relate to this film at some point in their lives. She starts off the beginning of her review with a quick synopsis and also mentions how well the director David O. She seemed to have written about the synopsis of the movie for a little to long and really went into great detail about it. She simply needed a brief overview of the film and then she could have focused more on critiquing the piece of work itself. One other thing Lemire could have improved on was that she needed a more clear thesis. You can tell she enjoyed the film and believed that the people who worked on it were what made it such a success, but it took the reader a little bit to come to this conclusion. Although the thesis isn 't very clear it was put together well. The thesis can be found in the last sentence of the second paragraph, “On paper alone, it sounds cringe-inducing. But he never condescends to his characters; "Silver Linings Playbook" isn 't mawkish, nor is it wacky and crass in the opposite extreme”. The thesis is placed at the very beginning so that way the reader can no right from the beginning where Lemire stands with the film. Lemire isn 't afraid to share her opinion and wants people to know just how great the motion picture
