Zoos all over the world are keeping animals in environments that mimic their natural habitat. In the article “Should we have zoos?” by Shayna Orens, Zoos around the world are to help adults, animals, and kids. Zoos not only keep animals, but they also rescue animals.This means zoos are beneficial because Zoos take care and rescue animals for educational purposes Zoos also have many different programs like education for kids. In the article, Orens writes, “The San Diego Zoo offers tours, camps, art and photography courses.” This means that the San Diego Zoo offers many different educational courses. This means that the courses this zoo offers many programs for kids and adult to take which any other places don’t provide. This proves at zoos are useful for educational purposes for students. This matters because zoos offer many different programs for anybody to learn. Orens also writes “Seeing a lion or an elephant up close could inspire someone to take action to save a species. Zoos provide many different animals that may change somebody’s perspective on animals. This means that person will get inspired to become a zookeeper or volunteer. This proves that zoos are helpful because many people will get inspired to become a worker for zoos which will help zoos. …show more content…

This proves that zoos also help animals and give them a better home than their previous owners. If the zoos didn’t exist, the polar bears would have been rescued by other people like circuses or ordinary people who will later provide a not so good home for the polar bears. This matters because animals that were abused, tortured or mishandled from circuses or other places can get rescued by people who can give them a better future since zoos have more of that
