Should Students Have Off Campus Lunches

The bell rings… Hundreds of kids rush to lunch to try and get their food as quick as they can. Many students rush to lunch because they want and need to eat but there is some things that frustrate students. If juniors and seniors had off campus lunch, it might relieve the overcrowding and the shortage of food. Students should have off campus lunch because their will be better quality of food other than the cafeterias, also the quantity of the food, and the logistics of the cafeteria. The quality of the food is very poor. It tastes fake. The amount of food the students get on their tray, without buying extra, is the amount that would be fed to a five year old. Not everyone can eat in the limited amount of time allowed to eat and there is not enough space for everyone to sit, and the cafeteria is really loud with the amount of students required to be in there at one time. For example, the food at Iowa Park High School is fake, looks like plastic and cardboard, and also has little taste and doesn’t taste anything like the actual food. Some foods served to us are cold, rock hard,or taste like water. Many students have complained about having food poisoning from this food about 3 times a school year. I would love to have off campus lunch because real food from my house or food from restaurants that at least tastes like real food, is better than fake food even if the food doesn’t taste like real food and is supposedly “healthier.” Most of the reason we have these kinds of food in the cafeteria is because of Michelle Obama who thinks these kinds of foods are nutritious and
