Believe in Learning Learning is our way of growing. We learn something new every day and we take that knowledge with us in the future. Although, there seems to be a barricade with certain things we learn. We attend public school and are taught things to make us successful in college and in the future. It prepares us for our career, and help us become who we wish to be when we grow up. We are encouraged to express ourselves freely and be who we are, yet they discourage religion in school which is a main source of some people’s lives. There is a phrase called “wall of separation between church and state”. Most people think this is why we keep religion from being taught in public school, but is all just a metaphor said by Thomas Jefferson. He wrote it in a letter to the Danbury Baptist in 1802 regarding keeping the state out of the churches business. What actually keeps religion from being taught in public school is the First Amendment in the Constitution. Religion is important, not to all, but to majority of people. It gives people a sense of who they are and it should be accepted in all ways and all places. …show more content…

This clause reserves the right of American citizens to accept any religious belief and engage in religious rituals while protecting opinion, expression of opinion and practices. In a way is might allow for violation of laws, as long as the violation being made is for religious
