Failure is a big part of life. Everyone fails to improve. Even famous people had failed, and look where it got them now. In the Scope magazine article “Should Libby’s Dad Do her project?,” Libby thinks her dad should do her school project for her so she can get a good grade. Her father believes it would better for Libby if she does it on her own. Libby needs to do her school project herself so she can learn more, Libby needs to know that she can recover from failure, some famous people also recovered from their failure and she needs to know that failure is apart of life.

One reason why Libby should do it herself is because even if she fails, she could gain confidence. Libby’s dad said, “Losing taught me that I could recover from failure, which gave me the confidence to push myself and try new things” (27). This means that Libby can learn from this experience. That's how they became famous, by failing and retrying. In the article Libby’s father said “Plenty of famous people have had their share of epic fails too” (27). This means that Libby can fail too and be successful. This is another reason why Libby’s dad should not do her project.
My last reason why Libby should do it herself is that it was an good idea for her father letting her fail, because she needs to learn that failure is apart of life. In the article Libby’s father said “So don’t put so much pressure on yourself, Lib. There will be other opportunities to get seen by scouts. And even if you don't end you playing basketball in college, I know you're going to do amazing things in your life” (27). This means that she will have more opportunities when she get older.
