School is hard, but it is necessary to be successful in your future career.School can be hard especially when you have a different gender affecting your ability to learn. Boys and girls have been shown to achieve higher test scores when in a same gender class. Without the uneasiness of having an opposite gender in the same room, students could feel comfortable to share their thoughts freely. But will separating boys and girls in a classroom actually help students learn? Will it prepare them for their adult career?
When male and females are together in school, bullying can take place. Many boys believe that teasing girls while they are with their friends can help them become “the funny one,” but it leads to confidence issues with the girls. Girls have sensitive feelings and boys think they can disregard those feelings and call girls multiple names. Also, boys would not feel obligated to make fun of the girls so they can impress their friends. Getting a boy to be nice while he is with his friends is like a peaceful war. Is it possible?

Girls feel apprehensive to eat at lunch and also play in physical activities if there are boys around. Most girls feel too awkward to eat in front of guys because they are scared that they will get something stuck in their teeth or get food on their face. There could even be a reduction in fighting with same genders. Girls also feel comfortable enough to be able to play a sport because they know that no girls will judge them if they mess up. Students say that when gym class is unsegregated, the boys are rough and immature, and they do not want the girls to play with them. Separating genders in physical activity based classes could, in the long run, aide in healthy habits.Girls would not feel shy to eat and exercise, and boys could play as rough as they want because many of the boys would also play
