Some people believe owning a pet is important, while others do not. Many people argue that owning a pet is a big deal or not. Some people think owning a cat or dog is super important because it is a big deal and responsibility. The people who don’t think owning a pet is important probably had a bad experience with their own pet. Owning a pet is great because they are good company, can be helpful, and they are loving. First, dogs are great company. If somebody's sad a dog will always make them smile and laugh. Dogs can be pretty funny on their own, but are down they make you laugh even more. Next, dogs can give people confidence. They can give confidence for when pet owners go out for walks they can have conversations with people they don’t know about their dog or others. When I take my dog out for walks I meet new people who have dogs and we have a long conversation about different types of dogs and what type they have. Lastly, they are great to play with too. When pet owners go outside to play with their pet they always have a good time. Everyday I go outside and toss the tennis ball with my dog and it is so much fun to watch him have a great time. Service dogs do good for the community by helping the elderly or helping people with disabilities. People who have disabilities can adopt a service dogs, service dogs are trained to help people and listen to their owner. Service dogs are the best helper dogs out there. Next, rescue dogs can help find or save people when something tragic happens. When a natural disaster or dangerous event happens rescue dogs are a big help. Rescue dogs help find people who might be trapped in debris and get them out in time. Dogs can help people who have depression or anxiety. Dogs can help people with depression by giving them love and attention. People who have anxiety can also benefit from dogs as well. Rescue dogs and service dogs can do a lot to help the community
