Segregation! The separation of ethnicities in social and professional societies that showcased the differences during civil rights. Everyone should be created equal, and no one should be treated differently. The Country Club was not justified in denying Dondre Green the right to play golf in the facility which is blatant discrimination for someone based on the color of his skin. Jim Crow Laws refer to how black people and white people couldn’t use the same restrooms, water fountains, or swim in the same pool. Black people were the only ones that couldn’t eat at the same restaurants as whites. White people couldn’t help black people with anything. In Gettysburg Address their was a war between the North and the South and they were left behind by the soldiers who fought for either side. The Gettysburg war took place in 1863. Eighty -seven years ago the European settlers on a continent created a new nation, created in liberty, and dedicated to the idea that all people are created equal. Abraham Lincoln was the one who said the Gettysburg Address. “On June 1,1865, Senator Charles Sumner referred to the most famous speech ever given by president Abraham Lincoln, according to senator Charles Sumner”. Lincoln and other speakers are addressing the crowd honoring these who fallen and sacrificed their lives in the name of equality. Everyone is honoring the people who have sacrificed their lives in battles, because of the selfless sacrifice. Abraham Lincoln gave the Gettysburg address speech in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania at a cemetery. When Dondre coach told him about what the management said Dondre knew it was going to be ominous. The management was practicing it’s right to not serve as a private facility, however in 1991 refusing service to someone based on race was against the law if they were invited. The golf club was a private facility and not a public facility. The management didn’t allow blacks to play at their private facility. “The Caldwell Parish Country Club was reserved for whites only”. “Dondre and his team glanced at each other in disbelief because of the rights that white people are only allowed in the Caldwell Parish Country Club”. Therefore the management didn’t allow black people in or around their facility. Additionally, the Caldwell Parish Country Club was not justified in denying Dondre Green the right to play golf in the facility which is blatant discrimination for someone based on the color of their skin. The black people were treated in a discriminated way. Some people may think that white people are more important or even better than black people. In conclusion, people were not treated equal and they did not have any
