There was a time when school lunch to be amazing and they would give students things like cookies and cupcakes. We even got ice cream sometimes, but now all of that has changed. Over the years, school lunch has gotten healthier and since then, students haven’t been buying lunch as much. From what my surroundings majority of the students don’t eat school lunch, so by making school lunch healthier, they won’t buy lunch as much. The school cafeteria shouldn’t change the lunch menu because more students won’t eat it since it’ll be “tasteless”, they won’t want to try it, and if students don’t eat healthy at home they won’t eat healthy at school

When the lunch gets healthier, they take away the unhealthy stuff we like and that makes it taste bland. The lunch ladies remove sugar, salt, fat, etc. They don’t remove all of it, but they remove most of it so our food can be healthier and filled with fatty oils and such. Majority of us like to eat chips anyway. That’s what we’ll eat and snack on for the entire day and then when we get home, we’ll eat actual food. Most likely that food won’t be healthy; it’ll be oily, salty, or sugary but it won’t be chips. If all we eat at home is junk food like chips and sweets, then that’s what we’ll eat at school. Some teens eat healthy and correctly, but it’s kind of rare that you’ll find a student who eats fruits, vegetables, etc. When we were younger, we were told we had to eat fruits and vegetables, but now that we’re older, we aren’t getting told what we can and can’t eat anymore. Nowadays, we eat fat and greasy foods and once we’re used to that, that’s all we’re going to want to eat.
