With miles of pristine white beaches, fantastic weather of sunny days almost all year round and a variety of tourist attractions, it’s no wonder that San Diego is one of America’s favorite holiday destinations. Founded in 1542 by Juan Rodriguez Cabrilla when he landed here from Spain, the city went from being San Miguel to San Diego in the early 17th century.
Apart from manufacturing and technology, San Diego’s has been heavily involved in naval and military operations right from the Second World War. Whether it’s swimming and surfing you want to indulge in or simply laze on the sand under the bright sun, the San Diego coastline is enjoyable for all. La Jolla, Imperial Beach, Ocean Beach and Mission Beach are just few of the stretches of sand you should visit to get your fill of the sun and the sea.
San Diego is replete with a number of tourist destinations that appeal to people of all ages and interests. Visit Balboa Park to cover many of the offerings at one go. The renowned San Diego Zoo covers over 100 acres of land and is home to some of the most exotic creatures of the world. A full day set aside for this zoo is highly recommended. Sea World, San Diego Zoo Safari Park and Birch Aquarium are a few other spots you can head to if you’re a lover of wildlife.
History buffs can find their way to Old Town, where the city’s Spanish history and heritage is still intact. Buildings and monuments dating back to the 19th century can be found here. Live historic performances that take place here regularly is bound to liven up your visit.

Puerto Peñasco, Mexico, or to us gringos known as Rocky Point, began its life close to 90 years ago. In the 1920s Puerto Peñasco was known as Cerro de Peñasco and was merely a temporary camp for passing fishermen. Over the years that small fishing camp began to develop into a full fledged fishing community and Americans began to notice the potential of the area as a tourist destination. Presently Rocky Point is in a transitional phase, drifting away from its roots as a shrimping town and quickly becoming one of Mexico's most popular tourist destinations.
Everyone loves sightseeing and being tourists because observing beautiful places gives people an opportunity to relax and enjoy their moment away from home. Whether they are exploring new, exciting places where you live, or far away from home, sightseeing is one of the greatest pleasures to do in life. I have been to a numerous number of places across the world, and I have to say that Hawaii and San Francisco are both wonderful places to visit. Hawaii and San Francisco, two of the top ten tourist destinations in the United States that attract people from all over the world, resulting in the astonishing landmarks such as Pearl Harbor and Alcatraz Island.
SeaWorld San Diego opened in March 21, 1964. This was the first SeaWorld park to be established. There three parks all together the other two being SeaWorld San Antonio, and SeaWorld Orlando (Ask Shamu). The profitable park was founded by George Millay, Milt Shedd, Ken Norris, and David DeMott, four UCLA fraternity brothers. The park was originally planned to be an underwater restaurant but the concept grew into the idea of a marine park sitting on 21 acres along the shore of Missions Bay in San Diego (History). The park started out with 45 employees, several dolphins, sea lions, and a couple aquariums. Now that Anheuser-Busch owns the park new attractions were added including several thrill rides and its Shamu stadium (History of SeaWorld).

San Jose has preserved its cultural and traditional values from decades and even after facing the modernization and industrialization at outskirts, there are still plenty of divine and astounding places to visit and explore the fabulous culture and history of this glorious city.
These beaches provide a place of rest and relaxation from the minute person steps on to one. One in particular that is the most famous of all of Puerto Rico would the Flamenco beach. This is the most attractive. The sand is warm as the summer sun and so soft your feet just sink. The water is crystal blue and shimmers as the sun sets on it. Even as the sun sets you can still see the coral reef with a spectrum of colors throughout these reefs house exotic fish and birds.
While learning English at an institute in Austin, the school proposed a field trip to San Antonio to visit the Mission San Jose and go to the River Walk. Although I had no idea what the missions were, thought it would be an interesting experience. As soon as we arrived to the mission, I realized San Antonio, Texas had such a rich and relevant history, and that I was located in a place that numerous of important historical events had happen on. They gave us a tour of the special museum and explained to us what the tools displayed on the museum were used for, and later on, took us to the church and walked us though the entire property. Perhaps it is difficult to believe, but I felt extremely interested in something I had never heard before. Therefore, when I was assigned a paper about a place in Texas, the first place it came to mind was the Mission San Jose, so I decided to go again to refresh my mind after having learned a great deal about the missions in Texas, the purposes of it as well as the results.
When Don Jose arrived in the area known as Rancho Las Palmas, the land was unmarked and unwanted, so he labeled it his and raised a great hacienda and family. However, during this time, power and control changed as countries fought for this land. No one really took notice to the area of South Texas, for it was not yet settled by Americans, and it was too far from Mexico to be of real significance to them. This made life for the first hundred years at Rancho Las Palmas fairly easy to follow traditions and live as planned.
There is no doubt that the particular layout of space of the 1893 World’s Columbian Exposition reflected the gender inequalities that existed within American society at the time. In particular, the Women’s Building offered a microcosm of the prejudices that dominated the overall landscape of the 1893 World’s Columbian Exposition. Although the men who organized the Columbian Exposition were unable to exclude women’s achievements altogether from the exposition, they were successful in relegating them into a bounded unit that overwhelmingly categorized their contributions as different and marginal, framing womanliness as “soft,” “delicate,” and “refined.” Discussions of the Women’s Building’s architectural aesthetics highlights such gendered dimensions of the Columbian Exposition quite clearly.
...le of Spanish Colonial architecture built in Santa Fe around 1610 is the historical Palace of the Governors which too has the authentic Spanish adobe style and is the nation’s oldest continuously occupied public building. It has housed 60 governors of New Mexico and became a place of refuge for Spanish colonialist during the Pablo Indian revolt of 1680. The long covered side walk serves as a market place which faces the plaza. There are several rooms re-created with furniture and artifacts from its original time period. Robert Hughes uses clear yet detailed information when describing Santa Fe’s troublesome history. His descriptions are expressive and confessing. Robert Hughes views the history of American Art as only an outsider would. He defies our biased notions of America’s past while challenging use to see historical art and architecture in a renewed approach.
California’s most ravishing views must be its coastline. There are amazing, refined, long stretches of beaches that offer a wide variety of sceneries. Beautiful white sand coming from Santa Monica, Long Beach and Big Sur. All types of people from the state of California to people from Florida enjoy California beaches. Some even like to hang loose and surf on the waves coming off the coast. Incredible evenings make families in California come together to watch the sun set. Florida beaches are not just well known in the USA but all around the world. Beaches that come to mind are Miami, Clearwater, and Sarasota beach. Miami beach is considered one of the “sexiest beaches in America.” With all the parties thrown on the beach, spring break is a local one stop for students that are coming out of Miami University. Clearwater beach, years ago, was ranked as the number one beach on the planet, with its white powdery sand and super clear water. In the article, Orens writes, “The San Diego Zoo offers tours, camps, art and photography courses.” This means that the San Diego Zoo offers many different educational courses. This means that the courses this zoo offers many programs for kids and adult to take which any other places don’t provide. This proves at zoos are useful for educational purposes for students. This matters because zoos offer many different programs for anybody to learn.

The Spaniards started building Fort Santiago after the establishment of the city of Manila under Spanish rule on June 24, 1571 and made Manila the capital of the newly colonized islands. The fort was named after Saint James the Great (Santiago in Spanish), the patron saint of Spain, whose relief adorns the façade of the front gate. It is located at the mouth of the Pasig River and served as the premier defense fortress of the Spanish Government during their rule of the country. It became a main fort for the spice trade to the Americas and Europe for 333 years.
