The importance of Samuels Adams

When most people hear the name Samuel Adams they think of him as one of the founding fathers. A person who formulated resistance against Parliament to tax, but that's not all, there is more behind him. He played a vital role in organizing the Boston Tea Party, and was a second cousin of the U.S. President John Adams. He was more interested in politics than business. He ran with the state legislature and served as a Massachusetts delegation to the Continental Congress. Samuel Adams had many effects on American history. As I stated up top he formulated resistance to the Stamp Act in 1765, where the British government wanted to unfairly tax people for most paper printed. He with others, grouped together protesting in resistance against the British to stop this tax. They are known as the sons of Liberty, which Adam was friends with but not a member. He served as legislator for Massachusetts from 1765 to 1774 playing a vital role in the Tea act. This is when East India was able to sell tea very cheap, making it so American colonial merchants lost money. In conclusion Samuel Adams was a great person who helped shape our political culture, and a lot of people looked up to him. He took good control over popular resentment against Parliament to tax. As you read up top Samuel Adams was involved in the formulation resistance to the Stamp Act and played a vital role in organizing the Boston Tea Party.
