In the twenty-first century, with the rapid development of economics in the world, many countries have been able to improve their standard of living and improve the quality of their life. However, a few countries still have a significant issue with poverty that many Chinese people suffered from inequality life, such as China. For example, almost 40 million people live in poverty in rural China and they do not have enough income, and a lot of people died duo to poverty. This essay will discuss the effects of poverty in rural China such as poor health. It will also present possible solutions in terms of the government providing better job opportunities and providing education.

First of all, to begin with the problem that poverty can have a devastating effect on people’s health, especially in rural China. For example, people who live in poverty do not have enough money to buy food and water. They are really affected by mal-nutrition. Furthermore, people who live in poverty have limited access to medical facilities, so if they get sick, they are unable to be treated and obtain medicine. According to Health Poverty Action (n.d), “The cost of doctors’ fees, a course of drugs and transport to reach a health centre can be devastating, both for an individual and their relatives who need to care for them or help them reach and pay for treatment.” …show more content…

People can have a good income to ensure they can go to see doctor and buy sufficient food and water. China has the biggest population in the world, which means that it is very competitive and more difficult to secure jobs. Therefore, if the government provides enough jobs, it can help the people who live in poverty to have a salary and make life more optimistic.
