A movie has to be extremely good for me to pay seventeen dollars to see it multiple times. Woody Allen’s “Midnight in Paris” is one of those films that I truly enjoyed watching. Those of you who have seen Woody Allen’s movies before, such as “Manhattan”, “Annie Hall”, and “Vicky Cristina Barcelona,” should be familiar with his classic style which involves a lot of drama, romance and quirky comedies. “Midnight in Paris” has everything that you love in a Woody Allen film, but what I like about this particular film is that he breaks the typical storyline and brings in a time traveling fantasy plot, historical art and literary figures which makes the story more exciting in a new level. I personally love this film because it is filled with gorgeous sceneries, well written plot, outstanding performance of casts, and a beautiful message. From the start of this movie, it immediately drew my attention with three minutes of the beautiful landscapes of Paris. It helps you realize the importance of living in the present. If you ever felt like you wanted to run away from the present, I strongly recommend you to watch this film, because you will get to self-reflect through the protagonist of the movie. I want to emphasize for those of you who have not seen this film yet, that you should not immediately assume the movie will be boring after watching the trailers of the movie. The trailer was poorly made, however the movie will completely blow your mind. It is genuinely worth watching.
