Disney: The Ultimate Spark of Imagination Disney Parks are held to a high standard when it comes to conserving their values of visitor happiness, imagination, and creativity. In 2007, Disney released a commercial that focuses on showing how a trip to Disney encourages children to dig deeper into their imagination. The children in the commercial envision their dreams and then make it a reality with the support of Disney. By transforming traditional adolescence experiences into out of this world adventures related to Disney films, Disney successfully emphasizes how strikingly different reality is while visiting the Parks through their Year of a Million Dreams Commercial. This commercial appeals to a vast range of viewers through its emotional appeal, fantasy-like experiences, and it’s strong relations with Disney movies. Turning traditional children’s experiences into magical ones is what Disney strives to do. Connecting the park strongly to the fantasies within Disney movies motivates children to want to visit even more. The commercial concludes with a boy catching fireflies in a mason jar then when he arrives at Disney the fireflies transform into fireworks within the jar then up into the sky (Disney 47-56). This symbolizes that what is a small accomplishment at home will turn into an even bigger feeling of pride at the parks.
