Larry Page is an internet enterpriser who founded one of the world’s largest search engines, Google Inc. with his cooperator Sergey Brin. He graduated from the University of Michigan and also received a PhD degree of computer science at Stanford University. Larry Page is a Michigan native. In 2009, he went back to his alma mater and addressed a commencement for the graduating. I think this live speech is truly impressive after I watched it online. Live speech is the channel public speakers use to deliver their information to a large amount of audience. Larry Page shows his actions, eye contact and strong emotions to the audience through his speech. I can see students applauding and cheering for him from the video. Even I am touched and impressed by him when I’m sitting behind the screen. In addition, Page suffers from the rare disease of vocal cord paralysis, so he is a man of few words in order to protect his vocal cords. Thus, he has to organize his words well in his mind before speaking for reducing unnecessary words. So I think this is one of the reasons that he is good at telling stories to the audience and guide them to understand him.
