Remember The Titans is a film created in 2000, directed by Boaz Yakin. It is set in Alexandria, 1971, and a movie about adolescent football players who face the obstacles of racial barriers. In the film, we see exactly how attitude reflects leadership, especially between the characters Loui, Gerry, Julius and Herman Boone. Loui isn’t racist, Gerry and Julius bring the team together and Coach Boone supports the team to lead their way to victory. Together in various ways, their attitude reflects leadership. Loui Lastik is not racist, his attitude reflects his accepting leadership throughout the film. Loui walks into the gymnasium with his head held high, he wanders over the group of African-Americas, “someone said football, so [he] came runnin’.” Introducing himself as the “offensive linesmen” he smiles at everyone and asks how they are. Most people in Alexandria stay clear of the black’s, but Loui on the other hand welcomes them with open arms. It is clear that Loui Lastik has a bubbly characteristic and puts race behind him. Loui acknowledges all of his team mates as well as he “noticed that [Blu] wears leopard-spotted underwear.” Putting race behind him and accepting everyone, Loui Lastik shows that he is a true leader. …show more content…

Gerry & Julius break up the fight at school. Although they don’t always get along, they put aside their race, showing true leadership. The boys additionally call a meeting in the gym, they bring everyone together which is a big task. When they put their mind to it, they achieve great things. Gerry and Julius grow to be great friends as Gerry tells Alice, “Don’t you see the family resemblance? That’s my brother.” Gerry realises “[He] was only hating his brother.” Julius and Gerry grow as people drastically, their positive attitude and how far they have come show their true
